Forest Management

Whatever stage of the forest management cycle, RDS Forestry Ltd. has extensive experience in all elements of commercial forest management (planting, restocking, ground preparation, fencing, road construction, harvesting, management plans, GPS/GIS mapping).

For the several years, all our management activities have successfully undergone rigorous third party auditing for Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) certification, formerly through our own FSC certified group scheme, and now for a large number of our client properties through the UKFCG’s FSC certified group scheme.

This means we are exemplary in conducting forest management to the requirements set under the auspices of the UK Woodland Assurance Standard (UKWAS). This also allows for peace of mind with our clients in knowing that their assets are in good hands and being managed responsibly to their best interests.
